Who doesn't love cocktails?
That was the question we found ourselves asking one February evening in 2023, sitting at the counter of a cocktail bar in Helsinki.
The three of us were Sampo, Joonas and Risto.
There was something special about cocktails.
The atmosphere, the flavours, the good times.
But as the conversation continued, we realised that cocktails came with plenty of challenges too.
For many people, they were too complicated to make, too expensive, or something reserved for a small circle of enthusiasts.
Enjoying a cocktail wherever and whenever you wanted – on a lakeside jetty, at a picnic or while spending an evening with friends – could seem difficult to arrange.
At that moment, we decided something had to change.
The world of cocktails needed to become simpler, more accessible and, above all, more fun.
We were ready to take on the challenge.
Risto brought a decade of experience in Helsinki's cocktail scene, Joonas had a deep understanding of the food industry, and we could always count on Sampo's eye for design.
And so the Blend story began.
As we developed our cocktails, we kept two golden rules in mind.
First, a perfect cocktail is always more than the sum of its parts.
Second, a cocktail is only as good as its weakest ingredient.
Quality ingredients are the foundation of everything we do, and they are what make Blend cocktails taste so good.
Every Blend recipe also has a story behind it. We wanted to create drinks that taste full of life.
